About the Company
Nordic Jewelry Design is a Swedish company with roots in magnificent Kiruna. Founder, designer and manufacturer Ewa Roslin has followed her grandmother's tradition of craftsmanship for many years, but has recently developed jewelry design into new unique models with quality, style and elegance.
Today the company is located on Gotland where we are inspired by the Gotland nature which also has magnificent expanses and lovely beaches. You can find our jewelry at Kvinnfolki, Donners plats 2 in Visby and Galleri Hantverket, Götgatan 63 in Stockholm.
Material
The material is carefully selected from vegetable tanned reindeer leather and tightly spun pewter wire with 4% silver. Jewelry with beads is made of 925 sterling silver. All jewelry is handmade. The pewter button is unique, hand-cast and stands as a trademark for Nordic Jewelry Design.
Care instructions
To ensure that your jewelry maintains its fine quality for a long time, we recommend the following:
- Water: The jewelry is water resistant, but for best durability, it is a good idea to remove the jewelry when bathing and showering. Reindeer leather can become hard and crack if exposed to chemicals such as shampoo, shower gel, etc.
- Chlorine: The jewelry should not be exposed to chlorinated water as this affects both the pewter wire, the silver and the reindeer skin.
- Storage: Store your jewelry in a dark place and tightly closed when not in use. Necklaces can be stored in their box to maintain their luster for a long time.
- Cleaning: Pewter wire always darkens a little over time. Silver jewelry can be wiped with a silver polishing cloth if it has become yellow or dark. However, not if there is reindeer skin woven into the middle, in which case you can use a regular polishing cloth. Liquid polishing agents should always be avoided as they easily stick to the pewter wire.
